Jesse Weiss
Nobody goes to school for recruiting, that's a common industry refrain and it still rings true today. I became intrigued in this business through my aunt; hearing her stories about her network and their evolving careers. I’ve been in love with it ever since.
I believe that people should have a career which they enjoy. Seven years into my business development career, I had a wake-up call - my professional life was simply not fulfilling. Ultimately, I resigned from a job without one in sight. "What will you do?" my (very nice) boss asked. "I don't know, but not this. This is just not it for me". And with that, I set out on my search. I pursued the recruiting industry excitedly, and with a little bit of luck was able to break through. The timing could not have been better; timing is indeed everything in life.
My experiences have undoubtedly shaped the way I look at careers, and the approach I take with my profession. I have been recruiting for over fifteen years, filling 700+ searches in that time. Fifteen years in and I still love it. Getting to know people every day. The stories. The challenges. The GOALS for my candidates and clients.
